There are very few summer foods I love more than watermelon. I can literally eat half of a huge watermelon a day. Although eating a chilled cube of watermelon is still my favorite, I thought it might be fun to try something different. I saw pictures of a watermelon frosty on Pinterest so I thought I’d combine the idea with a watermelon lemonade I once had at the Nordstrom Cafe a long time ago. The results were yummy, refreshing and bikini body friendly!
Ingredients (for 2 small glasses):
8 Frozen Cubes of Watermelon
1/2 to 1 c. Water (depending on how thick or thin you want your drink to be)
1/4-1/2 Packet Dry Lemonade Mix (I used Crystal Light’s citrus energy lemonade packet)
Start by blending the watermelon cubes to start breaking them up. Then add some water, just a little until it surrounds the broken up watermelon cubes (don’t drown the watermelon, just enough to help the cubes blend up and form something drinkable). Last, add in about 1/4 to a 1/2 of a packet of dry lemonade mix (I only used about 1/4). Blend it all up until it has a frosty-like consistency, pour into a glass and enjoy!
