It’s been a little while since my last blog post! My husband was working in North Carolina for the summer while I was finishing up my degree in Utah, so when he got home my blog wasn’t really my focus 😉 However, I have had the chance over the summer to really start experiencing Utah, so I will have to write a blog post with Utah activities I would recommend as well. But…after my blogging break, it’s time to get back into the swing of things, so here’s a little fashion post for you in honor of NYFW. I’ve been loving oversized sweaters lately, especially when mixed with metallic or leather pants and leggings. I’ve started experimenting with mixing different textures of materials within an outfit because it seems to add more of a visual pop.
When it comes to oversized sweaters and extra long tops that I wear with leggings and skinny jeans, I have to make sure it doesn’t cut me off and make my 5’2″ frame look even shorter, so I tend to wear shoes with at least a little height. Since the length of the sweater is just short enough, I paired it with heeled ankle boots. For a little pop of color I added some gold and turquoise stone jewelry.
pants: Marilyn & Beverly’s (coming soon)
boots: Aldo via Nordstrom (similar here)
hat: old H&M (similar here)
jewelry: turquoise bracelet & necklace (made by me, similar here), gold necklace: Forever 21 (similar here)
Be sure to leave a comment and let me know how you will style oversized sweaters this fall! Thanks for reading 🙂
