Happy Memorial Day! I may have my present and past qualms with the politics of this country, but one thing I still have is American pride. I am so grateful for the people that sacrifice their time and lives for this country and for our freedom. I know that it is these people, including my grandfathers, who gave me the freedoms I enjoy today. My grandfathers, as well as my great uncle have been personal inspirations to me and I have often loved hearing a recollection of their stories, both victories and hardships. Both give me a sense of awe and gratitude for this country. Who or what has inspired a sense of gratitude for this country in you?
As far as my ensemble goes for today’s post, I’ll be honest, I kind of ripped off this outfit idea from Pinterest. Stripes and a tulle skirt go so well together! So I put my own little touches on the outfit and here it is. Also, I’ve recently been getting back into the wonderful world of ponytails. I’ve never really liked them on me because of my face shape, however, once I had bangs cut I realized I had just the right amount of face framing even with my hair pulled back. It’s perfect for summer because it’s so low maintenance and keeps the hair off of my neck when it gets hot. Ponytail post coming soon…. 🙂 Also the winner of the blogger photography package giveaway is Carmen Ottens! Congratulations, excited to shoot with you soon!
