“Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard?
‘Tis not so, all is right.
Why should we think to earn a great reward,
If we now shun the fight?
Gird up your loins; fresh courage take;
Our God will never us forsake,
And soon we’ll have this tale to tell,
All is well! All is well!”

I thought I would do a quite little Pioneer Day inspired post for you complete with a braided crown and a vintage inspired dress! For those of you who don’t know what Pioneer Day is, it’s actually a Utah state holiday. Kind of cool that they have a holiday to celebrate their history! I have studied quite a few pioneer accounts and I find their dedication completely inspirational. Whether they did their trek for religious reasons, for financial opportunity or to be reunited with family, their stories are truly amazing. One of my favorite quotes are actually lyrics from the song at the beginning of this post. Take some time to look at your ancestry and appreciate where you came from, regardless of whether they were pioneers or not! Enjoy your holiday Utah, and happy Friday!
