“It’s delightful to have ambitions. I’m so glad I have such a lot.
And there never seems to be any end to them–
that’s the best of it. Just as soon as you attain to one ambition
you see another one glittering higher up still.”

My New Favorite Hair Care Line for Frizz Free Hair
It’s no secret that summer is hard on your hair. But if you live in a dry, cold climate winter can be just as rough! I recently found this awesome Argan Oil series by Luseta that I am completely obsessed with! The first time I tried it out was last week when I was on vacation in Newport Beach, CA. I lived in Huntington Beach and Aliso Viejo for about four years, and I always had frizzy hair halfway through the day (my hair is naturally wavy); so I was seriously shocked when my hair was frizz free and shining, even after a full day out! If I wasn’t already impressed by the product, the price would have reeled me in on it’s own. The Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner 16.9oz duo is only $28 ($14 each), which includes the pump and everything. In addition, the masque and hair repair serum are also more affordable than comparable name brand products I’ve tried. So the fact that these products not only work like a charm in fighting frizz, but are also affordable has me completely converted. Now that I’ve gushed about my favorite hair care line right now, I figured I would give you some tips on exactly how to fight frizz and keep your hair moisturized when it gets dry in the winter.

Fight Frizz & Moisturize Hair
#1 Find a good moisturizing shampoo & conditioner
-Preferably one that is sulfate and phosphate free (like Luseta’s Argan Oil duo), so that the product is actually nourishing your hair and not just putting a waxy film coating on it, which only fakes the feel of healthy hair (the bad ones are usually the cheaper, drug store shampoo/conditioners).
#2 Use a hair mask once a week (every other if you have an oily scalp)
-If you have frizzy, wavy, curly, damaged or colored hair invest in a good hair mask! I started doing this years ago, and it has worked wonders on my hair. It also keeps me from getting as many split ends so that I don’t have to visit my hairstylist as much to trim (helpful if you are trying to grow your hair out). I’ve tried so many different brands. I’m currently loving the Luseta hair masque, it is probably my current favorite, but I’ve had success with a few of them. However, I found that the ones from the drugstore just weren’t thick enough though to repair my hair, so make sure and get a good brand with a relatively thick consistency or there really isn’t a point in buying a mask!
#3 Protect and repair your hair
-When you style with heat (blow dryers, curling irons, straighteners, etc.) your hair gets super damaged, which leads to frizz. I like to put an oil (try Luseta’s Argan Oil), smoothing liquid or heat protectant on my hair both before and after blow drying. (Before helps to protect; after helps to fight frizz and make your hair feel soft.) Finally, I style with a straightener/curling iron.
#4 Give your hair adequate time to dry before styling
-If my hair is at all damp when I style it, then about 30 minutes later my hair has reverted to a frizzy mess. This is an easy fix I found out! After you blow dry your hair (before styling with your tools), do your makeup in between (or throw a load of laundry in, make breakfast, etc.). That way you can feel if your hair is still damp (sometimes the heat makes it feel dry when it isn’t) and any last bit of moisture will be gone before you do your final styling.
Why I Have Been Into Beauty Blogging Lately
Ever since getting pregnant, I don’t always love getting dressed up! Sure it’s fun to “dress the bump”, but sometimes I’m tired and all I want is my sweat pants. So I started to gravitate toward trying different beauty products that make me feel pretty, even when I am in my cookie monster pajama onsie (seriously…I have one)! I especially like products like hair and skin care lines, because they are low maintenance products that have more permanent results than makeup. It makes me feel like I am pampering myself (which I really need when I don’t feel like I am “glowing”). So if you find yourself struggling with your pregnant body, try focusing on your face and hair to lift your spirits! It has worked wonders for me.
Hope you have a great weekend!
