ESSENTIAL PRODUCTS FOR BEACH WAVES
When the beach wave trend first came out, I found myself constantly getting frustrated and looking something like a blow-dryed poodle. Needless to say, getting non-frizzy beach waves is not always the easiest to achieve. One of two things can happen when trying to style your hair this way. 1st-Your hair curls, but gets frizzy. 2nd-The curls blend together too much. I found two things that helped me tremendously to get the look I wanted.
#1 Finishing Oil-Applying a hair oil while hair is damp, and to smooth curls after they are dry is an absolute must. This keeps the hair from looking like the breeze at the beach got the best of you!
#2 Texturizing Spray-A spritz or two of a texturizing spray will make your curls look a touseled and defined, especially if you just washed your hair and you are missing some structure.
*In these pictures I used XO Styling products to achieve beach wave, loose curls. I like their texturizing spray because it has natural sea salt, which is what helps mimic the same look you get after letting your hair air dry from the ocean. It also has coconut oil, sunflower seed oil and vitamins so it nourishes and hydrates your hair while providing definition.
Hopefully these two two tips will help you as much as it helped me!
