WHEN TO TAKE MATERNITY PHOTOS
Here is my second look from Alt Summit, and I am literally about to pop in these pictures…mostly because I was retaining so much water that I felt like my feet and face were about to explode! However, this dress was too pretty not to take a few last maternity pictures in, so here are a few maternity shots at 38 weeks. Someone asked the question recently, at what point do you take maternity pictures? I’ve been taking photos almost every week for my blog, so here’s my personal opinion…
I would recommend taking maternity pictures between 30-34 weeks if you are worried about weight gain/water retention. At this point your belly is more prominent (which is good for maternity photos), but you don’t feel so uncomfortable.
If you are naturally pretty thin and want to make sure your belly is showing enough, I would recommend taking them between 34-38 weeks. At this point even the smallest of women tend to have enough of a cute belly for maternity photos. I wouldn’t recommend waiting very much longer, because babies can come early and you might find you missed your window for maternity photos.
There is my quick two cents on when to take maternity photos. Did you take maternity photos? If so, when did you take them and did you like how they turned out?
