you’ll end up having more.
If you concentrate on what you don’t have,
you will never, ever have enough.”

Thanksgiving dinner is probably my favorite meal of the year. I mean, is there any other day when it is considered acceptable to eat as many helpings as your stomach can hold? (Well, if you are a teenage boy with a fast metabolism, then this might be every day for you). However, Thanksgiving is my excuse to let the gluttonous inner fat kid take over. Since Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I wanted to make Everett’s first Thanksgiving special too. I thought it would be fun to come up with a baby food recipe that tasted like pumpkin pie, without adding sugar; so I whipped out my Beaba Baby Food Maker again and started brainstorming. I finally came up with a Pumpkin Pie baby food recipe that tastes so delicious, you might consider substituting your slice of actual pumpkin pie for this!
PUMPKIN PIE BABY FOOD RECIPE
3 Small Apples (peeled and cut into chunks)
1 Banana (quartered)
1 Cup Pumpkin (sugar/pumpkin pie pumpkin cut into chunks)
*This makes about 3-4 servings of baby food. You may need to break it up into two batches depending on the size of your baby food maker.
-Occasionally I cheat and add store bought baby food to my homemade concoctions if I don’t have an ingredient on hand. If you don’t have a sugar pumpkin, you can use store bought pumpkin baby food. I just recommend using as many fresh ingredients as you can because the taste is so much better.
After prepping all of the ingredients, I let my Beaba do the work. I filled the water line to three, steamed everything, and then pureed it until it was smooth. Easiest (and probably the healthiest) pumpkin pie you will ever make!
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for reading!
